Victoria Garcia

Victoria (Martinez) Garcia of Beeville, Texas, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022, at the age of 82.

Victoria was born July 28, 1939 in Live Oak County to Eliseo Martinez and Otilia (Carrizales) Martinez. She married Conrado Garcia Jr. on May 5, 1971 at St. James Catholic Church in Beeville. She was a faithful Catholic and active member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and St. Anne Society as well as a Cursillista.

Victoria was preceded in death by her parents, Eliseo and Otilia Martinez; brothers, Raymundo Martinez, Arturo Martinez and Eliseo Martinez Jr.; and a sister, Otilia “Tilly” Martinez Canul.

Left behind to cherish fond memories include two daughters, Mary Jane (Daniel) Luna and Josie Benavidez; a son, Conrado Garcia III; two brothers, Pedro Martinez and Daniel (Janie) Martinez; a sister, Margaret (Joe) Mendoza; six grandchildren, Eric Luna, Briana Luna, Daniella Luna, Jason Garcia, Joseph Benavidez and Isaac Benavidez; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, at Angelus Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7 o’clock that evening

The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Victoria’s 83rd birthday, Thursday, July 28, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.

Burial will follow in Our Lady of Victory Cemetery No. 2 where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Conrado Garcia.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Benavidez, Isaac Benavidez, Jason Garcia, Leo Cantu, Eric Luna and Arturo Martinez.
