Jasper “JJ” Clay, 80, of Beeville, Texas, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021.
Mr. Clay was born December 10, 1940 in Taft to Jasper Clay and Josephine Parker. He was married to Deborah Clay for 29 years and was a Retired Veteran of the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sons, Tommy Clay and Jasper “Monkey” Clay; brother, Oscar Toliver Jr.; and great-granddaughter, Aubrey Contreras.
Survivors include his daughter, Robbie Clay of Dallas; son, John Clay of Beeville; grandchildren, Kasha Clay, LaTaya Clay, Keanu Gutierrez, Joseph Jones and Ryan Tucker; great-grandson, K’Shawn Ross; sisters, Daphne Scott and Betty Cunningham; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi at a later date.
