Thelma Franks

Thelma Dean (Ross) Franks, 95, of Beeville, died Saturday, June 1, 2013. Mrs. Franks was born June 2, 1917, in Wichita Falls to Bert and Beatrice Ross. She married Vores Franks in Beeville and was a bookkeeper for Allen Taylor Construction Company. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vores Franks; and a son, Raymond Byars. Survivors include three grandsons, Derrall E. Byars, Paul E. Byars and William L. (Angie) Byars, all of Beeville; stepchildren, Laurna (Billy) Nabors of Kerrville and Russell Franks of Louisiana; four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation was held Tuesday, June 4, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted there Wednesday, June 5, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Beeville Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Phillip Martinez, Paul Byars, William Byars, Jesse Gonzales, Joe Anthony Hernandez and Ray Martinez. Honorary pallbearers will be JoAnn Gonzales, Annie Martinez, Doris Castillo, Martha Munoz, Lori Amador, Brandy Benavidez and Naomi Benavidez. Angelus Funeral Home
