Salvador V. Dominguez

Salvador V. Dominguez, 91, of Beeville, Texas, passed away on October 3, 2023.  

Salvador was born on April 11, 1932 in Hondo, Texas to Jose and Candelaria Vasquez Dominguez. He served his country in the Texas National Guard from 1950-1953 and married the love of his life, Guadalupe Ramirez, on October 15, 1951 in Hondo, Texas. Salvador was a devout member of the St. James Catholic Church and worked for the City of Beeville as Assistant Supervisor of the Street Department. He enjoyed watching football, especially his favorite teams the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns and collected classic toy cars.

He is preceded in death by his parent, Jose and Candelaria Vasquez Dominguez and his loving wife, Guadalupe “Lupe” Ramirez.

Survivors include a sister, Eva D. Arcos; a brother, Benny V. Dominguez; a daughter, Diana Vega (Diego); three sons, Jimmy Dominguez (Isalia), David Edward Dominguez Sr. and Salvador Jesus “Jessie” Dominguez (Rose); 17 Grandchildren; 33 Great-Grandchildren; and 26 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 6, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, at Angelus Funeral Home with Father Jacob Valayath officiating.

Burial will follow at Beeville Memorial Park in Beeville.

Pallbearers will be Steven Anthony Dominguez, John Gabriel Dominguez, Kethan Dominguez, David Dominguez, James Dominguez, Jon Dominguez, Mark Vega and Adrian Vega.

Honorary pallbearers will be Eva D. Arcos and Benny V. Dominguez.
