Mary Garcia

Mary G. Garcia, 82, of Beeville, died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015. Ms. Garcia was born Jan. 19, 1933, in Oakville to Juanita Cortez and Dioncio Garcia. She was a homemaker and a member of St. James Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Louis Alaniz; and a daughter, Linda Alaniz. Survivors include three sons, Lauro Garcia, Larry Garcia and Lionel Alaniz, all of Beeville; common-law husband, Raymond Rodriguez of Beeville; sisters, Carmen Moreno of Corpus Christi and Micaela Ybanez of George West; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Dec. 16, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited there that evening at 7 o'clock. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, with Father Balaswamy Pasala officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Garcia Jr., Lionel Alaniz Jr., David Banda, John Martinez, Juan Garcia and Juan Rodriguez. Angelus Funeral Home
