Leonora Gonzales

Leonora "Nona" (Martinez) Gonzales, 78, of Beeville, died Friday, July 15, 2011. Mrs. Gonzales was born March 21, 1933, in Live Oak County to Maria Ruiz and Preciliano Martinez. She married Alfredo Gonzales Sr. in Beeville in May 1958, and was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1979, a sister and two brothers. Survivors include two sons, Alfredo "Freddy" (Erma) Gonzales Jr. of George West and Jimmy Gonzales of Beeville; a brother, Adan Martinez of Beeville; five sisters, Dora (Ted) Garza, Celestina (Emilio) Gutierrez, Rosa Mu�oz, Maria Martinez, all of Beeville, and Esperanza Ashton of Louisville; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation was held Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. A rosary was recited there that evening at 7 o'clock. The funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Monday with Rev. Lukose Thirunelliparambil officiating. Burial followed in Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2.
