Joel Madrigal

Joel Madrigal Madrigal, 68, of Beeville, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018, in Victoria.

Mr. Madrigal was born in Matamoros, Mexico, to Jesus and Ines Madrigal. He married Rosita Mata Dominguez and was a retired custodian with Coastal Bend College.


He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Maria Del Refugio Madrigal; and step-son, Jose Maria Trevino.

Survivors include five sons, Joel Madrigal, Noel Madrigal, Daniel (Aime) Madrigal, Misael (Gabriela) Madrigal and Javier Madrigal; two brothers, Noe (Emilia) Madrigal and Santos (Maria) Madrigal; one sister, Ernestina (Alfredo) Godinez; daughter-in-law, Hilda Zavala; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four step-children, Rosita Trevino, Francisco (Crystal) Trevino Jr., Andres (Denise) Trevino and Daniel Trevino; six step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.


Visitation was held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at Angelus Funeral Home. A prayer service was held there that evening at 7 o'clock with Javier Madrigal officiating.
