Irene (Morris) Sullivan

Irene (Morris) Sullivan, 91, a beloved housewife and homemaker, passed away June 12, 2025, in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Irene was born June 27, 1933, in Linden, Texas, to Marion Grover Morris and Ruby (Scott) Morris. She married Paul Norman Sullivan on January 21, 1978, in Beeville and was of the Baptist faith. She lived a life devoted to her family and faith, exemplifying the values of hard work and unwavering love. As a high school graduate, Irene carried with her not only academic achievement but also a profound dedication to her role as a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed reading, knitting and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Ruby Morris; her husband, Paul Sullivan; her daughter, Francis Martinez; as well as all her siblings.

Survivors include her children, Linda Ballard of Plainview, Robert Palmore of Beeville and William K. Bryan of Hastings, Nebraska; and a son-in-law, Michael Martinez of Beeville. She was also blessed with a grandson, Jordan Martinez of Corpus Christi and numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 20, at Beeville Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Irene’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Arthritis Foundation.
