Guadalupe "Lupe" C. Cano

Guadalupe “Lupe” C. Cano, 72, of Victoria, Texas, passed away on August 30,2026 at his residence.

He was born on November 20, 1953, in Beeville, Texas, to Santiago Cano and Gabriella (Contreras) Cano. Lupe will be remembered as a man who had a passion for carpentry work. He enjoyed hanging out with his buddies, BBQing, having a cold one, and watching the Dallas Cowboys.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Lisa Salinas; and his siblings, Dolores Cano, Juan Cano, Audelia Gonzales, Susie Cartagena, and Eugenio Cano.

He is survived by his wife, Rosita Cano; his children: Joanna (Mark) Estrada, Lydia (Sal) Beltran, Rosie (Randy) Ramon, Mary (Ramon) Molina, Larry (Hope) Alvarado, Manuel (Janie) Alvarado, and Linda (Gentry) Edwards; his sisters, Leonor Cano and Cecelia Perez. Additionally, he leaves behind several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2026, with a Rosary to be recited at 11 o’clock, followed by a funeral service at Angelus Funeral Home with Cecila Perez and Co Pastor Antelia Beltran officiating. Burial will follow at the Glenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Sal Beltran, Randy Ramon, Bobby Salinas, Ramond Valdez, Robert Sierra and Ryan Moore.
