Guadalupe Aleman

Guadalupe C. Aleman, 71, of Beeville, Texas, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021 in a Corpus Christi hospital.

Guadalupe was born September 7, 1949 in Mathis to Gutridez Cano and Consuelo (Jasso) Cano. She married Augustin Aleman on August 18, 1982, and was a Catholic by faith. As a florist who loved making beautiful floral arrangements, Guadalupe was also a loving caregiver. She enjoyed making quilts, gambling, listening to music, dancing and playing bingo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gutridez and Consuelo Cano; husband, Augustin Aleman Sr. on November 21, 1998; sisters, Janie Cano, Sylvia Cano and Mary Lou Cano; and a stepson, Augustin Aleman Jr.

Left behind to cherish her memory are two stepdaughters, Mickey Duran and Rosie Rodriguez, both of Beeville; granddaughter, Viviann “Gatita” Ybarra of Mathis; two sisters, Rosa Maria Cano and Delfina Hernandez, both of Mathis; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, February 11, at Angelus Funeral Home.

A Rosary will be recited at 2 o’clock that afternoon at St. James Catholic Church with the funeral Mass celebration at 2:30 p.m. Father Jacob Valayath will officiate. Burial will follow at Central District Cemetery on FM 888 in Beeville.
