Felipa Casarez Perez, 78, of Skidmore, died Friday, Feb. 26, 2016. Mrs. Perez was born Dec. 3, 1937, in Beeville to Martin and Anastacia (Rocha) Casarez. She married Jose Perez on April 16, 1977, in Beeville. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Skidmore, worked as a nanny and housekeeper and enjoyed dancing, playing bingo, quilting, cooking and volunteering at her church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Anastacia Casarez; and her husband, Jose Perez. Survivors include four children, Encarnacion "Ence" (Mary) Perez, Mary Dolores (Mario) Moreno, Jose "Joe" M. (Christina) Perez Jr. and Jo Rachel (Ruben) Reyes Jr.; grandchildren, Fredrick Cooper, Sharonell Cooper-Jones, Matthew Moreno, Laurie Moreno, Sarah Moreno, Adam Perez, Jose "Joey" M. Perez III, Jake Perez, Jessica Perez, Nathan Reyes and Sarah Reyes; a brother, Rosendo (Mickey) Casarez; two sisters, Adelmira Martinez and Ersilia Yzaguirre; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 29, at Angelus Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary recited there that evening at 7 o'clock. The funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Tom Goodwin officiating. Interment followed in the Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore. Pallbearers were Matthew Moreno, Nathan Reyes, Adam Perez, Joey Perez, Jake Perez, Henry Del Bosque, Fredrick Cooper and LaDerek Harris Jr. Honorary pallbearers were the Amador, Rodriguez, Ramon, Del Bosque, Casarez and Dunn Families.
