Eva Salinas

Eva (Castillo) Salinas, 73, Alvin, formerly of Bee County, died Monday, March 13, 2017. Mrs. Salinas was born Jan. 22, 1944, in Beeville to Petronilo and Gabriela (Gonzalez) Castillo. She married Israel Salinas in Sinton in 1972 and was a homemaker and a Catholic. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Petronilo Salinas; and brothers, Petronilo Castillo Jr., Anciano Castillo I and Nicholas Castillo. Survivors include a sister, Aurora Ramirez of Alvin; brothers, Adan Castillo, Juan Castillo, Jesus Castillo, Anciano Castillo II and Ramiro Castillo; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 15, from 1 to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited there this evening at 7 o'clock. The funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, March 16, at 2 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Tynan with Father Thomas L. Goodwin officiating. Burial will follow in Waldheim Cemetery in Tynan. Pallbearers will be Nick Castillo, Jay Castillo, Chan Castillo, Daniel Castillo, Adam Castillo and Guadalupe Ramirez III.
