Emma Bergara

Emma B. Bergara, 79, of Beeville, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016. She was born on September 6, 1936, in Bee County to Mary (Benavidez) and Willie Bergara Sr. She was a Christian and enjoyed embroidery, cross stitch and making quilts. She was preceded in death by parents; sisters, Pomposa "Carrie" Pierson, Leonor B. Perez, Frances Davis and Trinity Bergara; brother, Willie Bergara Jr.; niece, Jerreaca Davis; and grandson, Barry Lynn Lanier. Survivors include her daughter, Theresa "Terri" Bergara McPherson; son-in-law, Dallas Lanier; sister, Mary B. Saenz; brother, Bill Bergara; grandson, Brian Lee Lanier; granddaughter, Laura Lynn Lanier; three great-grandchildren, Christopher Allen Montogomery Lanier, Dusty Dwayne Hernandez and Conner Lanier; one great-great-granddaughter, Isabella Lanier; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-grand nieces and great-grand nephews. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at Angelus Funeral Home Chapel with a prayer service held that evening at 7 o'clock. Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Angelus Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Carlos Cali officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Mario Saenz, Raul Saenz, Robert Camareno Jr., Roland Camareno, Ruben Camareno, Cynthia Arteaga, Yolanda Sciba and Rachelle Camareno. Special thanks for Rachel P.
