Daniel Ramirez

Daniel "Danny" Ramirez, 63, of Beeville, died Tuesday, March 27, 2012. Mr. Ramirez was born Oct. 23, 1948, in Beeville. He served in the U.S. Marines and married Yolanda Ortiz in Beeville on Oct. 25, 1969. He was a retired postal carrier and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, VFW Post #9170, American Legion Post #274 and was the local coordinator for the Bee County Veterans Honor Guard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Yolanda Ramirez, on Jan. 10, 2010. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Mae (Victor) Gomez of Beeville; two grandsons, Benjamin Javier Gomez and Matthew Alejandro Gomez; two brothers, Joe (Cathy) Trevi�o of Beeville and Pete (Rosie) Trevi�o of Freer; a sister, Estella Gonzales of Beeville; a sister-in-law, Sylvia Molina of Beeville; mother-in-law, Lucia Ortiz of Beeville; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 29, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited there that evening at 7 o'clock. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Friday, March 30, with Rev. Richard Gonzales officiating. Burial will follow in Beeville Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be members of the American Legion Post #274, Becy Ochoa and Joe Richard Rodriguez; VFW Post #9170, John Snyder and Onie Lopez; and Vietnam Veterans of America Post #274, John Salinas and Rudy Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Bee County Veterans Honor Guard, Jesse S. Gonzales and Richard Rodriguez; and all members of the Vietnam Veterans of America, VFW Post #9170 and the American Legion Post #274. Angelus Funeral Home
