Crisoforo Moya, Sr.

Crisoforo Moya Sr., 94, of Beeville, died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017. Mr. Moya was born Aug. 15, 1922, in Tilden to Jesus and Rafaela (Rosales) Moya. He was a rancher and enjoyed roping and hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Antonia D. Moya; two brothers, Arturo Moya and Jose Moya; and two sisters, Maria Moya Torres and Juanita Moya Samaniego. Survivors include a son, Crisoforo Moya Jr.; two daughters, Beatrice Moya and Elizabeth (Joventino Garcia Jr.) Lopez; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and numerous foster grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, at Angelus Funeral Home chapel. Visitation will continue there on Friday, Jan. 27, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 o'clock. The funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, with Pastor Isaac De Los Santos officiating. Burial will follow in Evangelico Cemetery.
