Cassandra Marie Murillo, 37, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, June 6, 2026, in Beeville, Texas. She was born on December 5, 1988, in San Jose, California, to Robert Murillo and Marivel Alaniz.
Cassandra was a proud graduate of Palo Duro High School in Amarillo, Texas, class of 2007. Her roots were deeply planted in Texas, where she found warmth not only in the sun, but in the hearts of those she cherished. Although she never had a home church, she found solace and fellowship at New Life Church in Beeville. She loved spending time with friends and family, cherishing every moment shared with her loved ones.
Cassandra adored football season, cheering for the San Francisco 49ers every chance she got. Though she did not have children of her own, her love flourished through her cherished fur baby, Daisy, who was her favorite companion that she loved dearly.
She is survived by her beloved sister, Benita L. (Alaniz) Esquivel, and the three nephews she embraced as her own, Jose, Alex, and Daniel, of Beeville, Texas. Her paternal siblings, Josie and Jacob Murillo, alongside their mother Stacie of Clarendon, Texas; uncles, Ben Alaniz (Tiffany) of Austin, Texas, and Raul (Belinda) Gonzalez of Beeville, Texas; aunt, Cynthia (Simon) Moya, of Beeville; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, across the states of Texas and California.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marivel Alaniz; father, Robert Murillo; maternal grandparents, Benito R. Alaniz and Adela G. Alaniz; paternal grandparents, Estolio Murillo and Aurora Murillo; and her maternal uncle, Richard Alaniz.
Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Angelus Funeral Home in Beeville, Texas. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m.
