Aurora (Farias) Garza slideshow Aurora (Farias) Garza, 71, of Beeville, died Friday, April 18, 2014.

Mrs. Garza was born May 6, 1942, in Beeville to Adan and Francisca Martinez Farias. She married Alfredo Morales Garza Sr. in Beeville on June 4, 1957, and was a homemaker and a Catholic.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Santos Garza; son, Jimmy Garza; and sisters, Lydia Ochoa and Alma Moreno.

Survivors include eight children, Alfredo (Silverius) Garza Jr., Henry Garza, Gilbert Garza, Sandra (Hector) Ramos and Gerald Garza, all of Houston, and Jesse (Teresa) Garza, Frances Cerda and Lee Roy Garza, all of Beeville; nine siblings, Jesusa Banda, Beatrice Benavidez, Rose Torres, Diana Gonzales, Jesse Rodriguez, Rudy Rodriguez, James Rodriguez, Theodore Rodriguez and Juan Rodriguez; 28 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 21, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited there that evening at 7 o’clock.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, April 22, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Lukose Thirunelliparambil officiating. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Arriaga, Jesse Garza, Henry Garza Sr., Jerry Garza, Alfredo Garza Jr., Henry Garza Jr. and Lee Roy Garza.
