Anita D. Rojas, 84, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2025, at the Live Oak Nursing Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Anita was born on August 7, 1940, in Skidmore to Anastacio and Guadalupe (Bergara) Delgado. She married the love of her life, Arturo Rojas, on October 8, 1960, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Anita embraced her role as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.
Anita found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed sewing, reading and gardening, and she cherished her daily rituals of watching soap operas and having coffee with her friends. Most of all, Anita treasured the moments spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts through her kindness and love.
Anita is preceded in death by her parents, Anastacio Delgado and Guadalupe (Bergara) Delgado, along with her husband, Arturo Rojas, and her brothers, Anastacio Delgado Jr., Alejandro Delgado and Arturo Delgado.
Her legacy continues through her children, Camilla (Leo) Lopez, Michael Rojas and John (AJ) Rojas; and her beloved grandchildren, Julia Alcala, Anthony Lopez, Jennifer Morin, Daniel Lopez, Zachery Rojas, Zane Rojas, Angelina Rojas and Alysandra Rojas. Anita is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who will remember her fondly.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 20, at Angelus Funeral Home in Beeville with a Rosary to be recited at 7 o’clock.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 21, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Isaias Estepa officiating. Burial will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.
Anita D. Rojas will be remembered for her unwavering love, her dedication to family and her gentle spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on in the hearts of all those who knew her.
