Abel Garza

Abel B. Garza, 68, of Beeville, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013. Mr. Garza was born Aug. 22, 1945, in Beeville to Enrique P. and Felicita (Bergara) Garza. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was retired from the City of Beeville. He was a Catholic and enjoyed reading western books by Louis L'Amour. He was preceded in death by his parents, Enrique and Felicita Garza and a brother, Robert B. Garza. Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Garza of Beeville; two sons, Abel Garza Jr. of Alabama and Adrian (Brittany) Garza of Kansas; two sisters, Amada (Raul) Aguirre of Beeville and Mima Valdez of Beeville; a brother, Simon (Nena) Garza Sr. of Beeville; and six grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, at Angelus Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited there at 1:30 following visitation. A chapel service will be conducted at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Lukose Thirunelliparambil officiating. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2. Angelus Funeral Home
