Alicia (Garza) Perez, 68, of Beeville, passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018.
Mrs. Perez was born March 15, 1950 to Virginia (Vasquez) and Teclo Garza Sr. in Beeville. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and St. Anne’s Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virginia and Teclo Garza Sr.; a grandson, Joe Derek Mireles Jr.; two sisters, Virginia Borjas and Minnie Salinas; and two brothers, Teclo Garza Jr. and Luis Garza.
Survivors include her husband, Willie Martinez Perez of Beeville; children, Debbie (David) Ponce of Fresno California and Nelly Rose Perez, Peggy (Jim) Zertuche and Willie Perez Jr., all of Beeville; siblings, Josie Segovia, Dolores Espinoza, Maria Alaniz, Olga Castaneda, Annie Cumpian, Rosanna Madrigal, Jovita Villanueva, Elsa Villanueva, Adolfo Garza and Adan Villanueva, all of Beeville, and Harold Garza of Houston; stepmother, Lucia Garza; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday, Oct. 1, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited there that evening at 7 o’clock.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Luke officiating. Burial will follow at San Pedro Cemetery in Clareville.
Pallbearers will be Willie Perez Jr., John Castaneda Jr., Joe Derek Mireles Sr., Adolfo Garza, Mario Gutierrez Jr., Harold Garza, Adan Villanueva and Jason Segovia.
Honorary pallbearers will be Michelle Garcia, Angel Lynn Garcia, Angela Borjas-Cuevas and Nelly Rose Perez.
